Green Live Learning Lab
The Green Live Learning Lab is a groundbreaking initiative designed to merge family learning with practical sustainability education. Spearheaded by the Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) in collaboration with Westminster City Council, Campaign for Learning, and The MCS Foundation, this project is at the forefront of teaching communities about the essential shifts toward low-carbon living.
The Green Live Learning Lab turns the vibrant neighbourhoods of north Westminster into living classrooms, teaching the community about real-time low-carbon transformations and retrofitting techniques. From innovative heating systems to renewable energy solutions, the Green Live Learning Lab illustrates how these advancements are transforming our homes and lives.
The Green Live Learning Lab has launched a series of resources designed to boost community knowledge in sustainability. These learning units, co-created with the community, are accessible to family learners and those for whom English is a second language. Focused on green technologies like heat pumps, solar panels, and electric vehicles, these resources are tailored specifically for adult education.
