Samuel Lamont

Public Affairs Manager 

Sam joined the MCS Foundation to work on government relations and lobbying strategy.

His background in public affairs has covered Brexit, health, and education, having previously worked at the Law Society, the British Heart Foundation, and in Parliament as a researcher and speechwriter. His focus on strategy and stakeholder management has led him to several lobbying successes, including a legal services chapter in the EU-UK Trade and Co-operation Agreement, securing war crimes and torture sanctions in the Overseas Operations Bill, and persuading the Health Secretary to make cardiovascular disease a key priority.
