Farewell and our thanks to MCS Foundation CEO Adrian Ramsay
Chair of the Trustees of the MCS Foundation, Fabio Nehme, said:
“After five years of service as the Group Chief Executive of the MCS Foundation, Adrian Ramsay has today stepped down, as he has been elected to Parliament. Adrian has also stepped down as a Director and Chair of the MCS Foundation’s wholly owned subsidiary MCS Certified service company.
“We would like to thank Adrian for supporting our mission for a carbon-free future for every UK home. Since he has been at the helm of the MCS Foundation, Adrian, together with our dedicated staff and trustees, has played a major role in building the MCS Foundation up to a position where we are a leading voice and trusted partner across private sector, public sector and civil society on the transition to a carbon-free future for every UK home.
“During Adrian’s tenure, the MCS Foundation has grown substantially in size and scope and delivered real impact. On the advocacy front, notable successes include the campaign for VAT to be zero-rated on small-scale renewables, the expansion of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, and putting small-scale renewables at the heart of the transition to net zero. We have also strengthened our position as a leading standards setting organisation ensuring that consumers can be confident in MCS certified renewable energy installations. We have promoted and funded innovation in the decarbonization of the built environment, along with partners, supporting local authorities in scaling up their retrofitting plans, and launching the Low-Carbon Heating Technician Apprenticeship to bridge the skills gap, among other initiatives.
The MCS Foundation wishes Adrian well in this new phase of his career and encourages all political parties to commit to decarbonising homes, heat and energy. We will continue to work with everyone across the political spectrum to drive positive change.”
